Beyonce & Blue Ivy: Back In The Big Apple

Back in the States after a relaxing St. Barts getaway, Beyonce Knowles was spotted making her way around New York City with baby Blue Ivy on Thursday afternoon (April 12). The 30-year-old sported what looked to be a lightened, shorter hairdo as she covered up her little princess while returning to the family's downtown apartment after an office visit.

The sighting comes just after Miss Knowles shared a hand-written letter with her fans, which is comprised of a thank you message to First Lady Michelle Obama in recognition of her inspirational ability when it comes to African American women.

As for what she wrote, Beyonce started by penning, "Michelle, Is the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman. She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady!!!!”

“No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope — she’s humble, loving, and sincere. She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways,” the new mom continued.

Beyonce closed the praiseful note by writing, “Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us — I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you, to look up to."
