She’s Posh Spice, a British style icon, singer, songwriter,
fashion designer, wife, and mother; these are just some of the roles that
Victoria Beckham has taken on. And if all the dream jobs in the world could be
combined into one, then surely she’s got them all!
To come up with an appropriate name for her combination of jobs
could be a wee-bit difficult, as
the Brits would say, but the perks of the jobs certainly involve all the finer
things in life and it’s a lifestyle that Mrs Beckham has always been accustomed
to... A material world.
Not The Rolls Royce, Daddy!
Growing up, Beckham was
embarrassed by her family’s wealth and often begged her father not to drop her
off outside
the school in their family’s Rolls Royce. Today, she has the dream job, the
nicest cars, homes, vacations, fashion items, the most expensive jewellery, and
not forgetting her football heartthrob and style icon husband David. Beckham
shows the world how to live as a working modern woman and happily married
“material girl.”
With numerous roles and
responsibilities it is no wonder that Beckham can easily afford all the finer things in life; not only for
herself, but also for her family and star hubby.
But David also loves to splurge on his wife. He was once reported
to have spent £80,000 on a Silver Himalayan Birkin bag, encrusted with hundreds
of diamonds, and a special three-carat rock on the lock. It was one of three
made in the world, and was given to the lucky lady as a Christmas present in
Dubai.
Leader Of The Fashion Pack
With a girl that surrounds herself with materials -- in this case,
fabrics -- Beckham has earned her rightful spot on the fashion platform as a
coveted designer, with her label Victoria, Victoria Beckham having showcased
its ninth successful season at New York Fashion Week just a few months ago.
She has been nominated numerous times at the British Fashion
Awards alongside industry giants such as Mulberry and Burberry, and took home
the gong for Brand of the Year, in 2011. This year, Beckham waits in the wings
as she battles it out with British designer Stella McCartney for the Red Carpet
Award. Even royal favorite, Kate Middleton, has cosied up with the fashion
starlet, taking a selection of Beckham's designs on her honeymoon!
These days, the 38-year-old
style icon has a more natural approach to her “posh” upbringing. With a
personal attitude towards fashion, she feels the need to be more natural with
her style. And after removing her breast implants, “for the first time, I feel
like what you see is what you get,” says Beckham. “This is me: the more natural
hair, the slightly more relaxed way of dressing. I feel really content
personally and professionally.”
