Just when fans of Rihanna thought the R&B beauty couldn't shock them anymore, the singer has revealed her latest hairstyle. The 24-year-old, who had long blonde locks last week, showed off jet black hair with shaved sides at a photo-call for her latest movie Battleship in Tokyo on Monday (April 2, 2012).
Writing on Twitter in response to a fan who claimed her 'new' style resembled one of her old looks, Rihanna explained, "I was missing she, but I aint ready to chop ha". The new look marks a drastic change from the long blonde hair that Rihanna rocked in London last week, though it's becoming hard for fans to keep up with her ever-changing look.
Meanwhile, the Talk That Talk singer appears to be getting the taste for acting, claiming she'd "love" to play the late Whitney Houston in a planned big screen biopic. She told the Press Association, "I didn't get that call yet. That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off. That's a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job". Whitney's long-time label boss and close friend Clive Davis is reportedly at the helm of the project and is keen on Jennifer Hudson to take the lead, though Rihanna says having met Houston before her death, it would be an honor to portray the singer, saying, "I met her at a Clive Davis party. I love her. She's one of my big music icons, and I have always looked up to her".
Rihanna, who has received praise for her performance in Battleship, says she'd also like to try her hand at comedy, saying, "I want to try different roles - maybe comedy next, or who knows? I like sarcastic, dry humour: I love movies like Superbad and Pineapple Express, pretty (much) all Seth Rogen's movies".
