Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler were left horrified after an American Idol hopeful became dizzy and crashed off the stage during taped auditions.
Teenager Symone Black had finished singing Otis Redding's (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay for the two superstars and fellow judge Randy Jackson when she lost her balance and staggered to the edge of the stage before tumbling to the ground.
The panellists were left stunned as executive producer Nigel Lythgoe rushed to her aid and called for a medic to look over the 16 year old, who was then put in a neck brace.
In a clip released online, Lopez gasps in shock as Aerosmith frontman Tyler points out he saw Black hit her head as she struck the ground.
The episode will air in the U.S. on Thursday (09Feb12).
