Bruno Mars Prosecutor Branded A 'Disgrace' At Sentencing
The Las Vegas district attorney who prosecuted Bruno Mars and Paris Hilton for cocaine possession has been sentenced to nine months behind bars on drugs and weapon charges.
Former Deputy District Attorney David Schubert struck a plea deal with prosecutors after $40 (£25) worth of crack cocaine and an unregistered firearm were discovered in his car last March (11).
The judge called Schubert a "disgrace to his oath as a prosecutor and a lawyer" as he sentenced him to jail time, according to Tmz.com.
Schubert was part of the team which struck a deal with Mars, who pleaded guilty to felony cocaine possession last year (11).
He also built a case against Hilton after she was found with cocaine in her handbag. She later pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour charges and was sentenced to probation.
