They might have looked good on Rihanna, but not sure suspender stockings are quite right for you Meg Mathews.

She was the ultimate 90s rock chic, married to Noel Gallagher and a stalwart on the Brit Pop party scene.
But Meg Mathews made a fashion faux pas last night by donning the same suspender-style tights Rihanna sizzled in last week.
Rather than looking sexy, the designer, who is in her mid 40s, looked ready for panto, at the Hoping Variety Show for Palestinian Refugee Children event in London.

Ms Mathews, who has 11-year-old daughter Anaïs with the ex-Oasis rocker, teamed the hosiery with a swash-buckling pirate belt and thigh-skimming black dress adorned with flowers.
But, despite having an enviable figure, the stockings-esque tights had a rather ageing effect on the star.
In contrast Rihanna, 23, looked hot in the House of Holland tights for a dinner date at upmarket sushi restaurant Nozomi in Knightsbridge in London.

The We Found Love singer teamed them with stars and stripes shorts, a white T-shirt and fur jacket.
The suspender-style tights are actually a tried and tested celebrity trend that has been around for well over two years.
They have been spotted on Lily Allen, Frankie Sandford and even Princess Eugenie since 2009.

But the tantalising trend, flattering on the figure and oozing sex appeal on some, are still a firm favourite it seems.
They were seen adorning the pins of former Disney princess Selena Gomez just last week during a lunch date in Paris with boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The tights are embroidered to give the illusion of a suspender, and are thus named trompe l'oeil - French for 'trick of the eye' have been sold by French lingerie line Chantal Thomass. And the most popular brand in the UK, is by House of Holland designer Henry Holland.
