R.I.P ETTA JAMES (25th January 1938 - 20th January 2012) A true, legendary Blues and Soul icon and an amazing singer with a soulful voice. You have inspired us with your music over the past years with hits such as ''At Last'' and ''Tell Mama'' - R.I.P Etta James, we shall remember your music and the influential impact you made in the music industry. 


Some of you hate to admit it but it was Beyoncé that made Etta James Relevant again, not being disrespectful but who in this generation knew about Etta's great discography? Beyoncé schooled the "youngsters" and showed them that Great music was made in that particular time period. So THANK YOU Beyoncé for showing us who Etta James was, her music was powerful raw and emotional, it touched our soul. So people maybe we should stop bringing Beyoncé down. RIP Etta James, you will be missed. Your music will live on….

Ciara Joins Adam Sandler, Vanilla Ice in Donny's Boy

Ciara is taking her talent to the big screen this year, joining the cast of Adam Sandler's recently renamed comedy Donny's Boy (formerly 'I Hate You, Dad').

According to IMDB, Ciara is set to portray Brie in the comedy that focuses on a father (Sandler) who moves in with his son just before his wedding.

Due in theaters June 15, the comedy also stars Vanilla Ice, Todd Bridges, Leighton Meester and Will Forte.

Following her deal with Epic, 2012 might just be a big year for Ciara.

Rapper Nicki Minaj is on the verge of securing a lucrative fashion deal to release her own clothing collection.

The Super Bass hitmaker, who is known for her outrageous and colourful style, has already landed her own pink shade of M.A.C. lipstick and will share her favourite nail polish colours with fans in her upcoming line for Opi, but Minaj is now setting her sights on making a bigger mark in the fashion industry.

Her manager, Cortez Bryant, tells the New York Times he's got a top priority for 2012 - "to negotiate a deal with a fashion house so Ms. Minaj can sell her own line of clothes".

Minaj has already got friends in high places in fashion - last year (11), she struck up an unlikely relationship with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour after meeting her during New York Fashion Week.

Can you please tell me what you think about this? I can't form words around SMG's look; I go back and forth with what I think. Nevermind, I think I have it. This look is more CMAs than Golden Globes. 

It takes me back to her being a soap actress as well. It's not that it's not pretty...I just think something is really off; wrong girl, wrong event, and WRONG BLUE EYE SHADOW.

Beyonce was probably doing double duty working those baby pounds off and taking care of little Blue Ivy Carter as husband Jay-Z made his first appearance since their 11 day old baby joined the family.

The hip hop mogul attended the re-opening of his 40/40 sports bar on West 25th Street in New York City and was said to be very appreciated of all the love from onlookers.

Celebrities and business moguls such as Spike Lee, Kevin Liles, Steve Stoute, ?uestlove, Irv Gotti, Wale and Warren Buffet joined Jay-Z, who looked dapper in a navy blue suit, while showing off the venues eye catching new renovations.

R&B songstress Ashanti was able to shine a little brighter without Beyonce in the building as she peppered the media with her perky comments and radiant smile.

Actor/director Spike Lee came out in an all blue, Victor Cruz jersey, in his support of the Giants.

?uestlove, member of The Roots and drummer, had no parenting advice for Jay-Z.

“I’m here to show love. He can give me advice,” ?uestlove told The Post. “I’m not even a parent yet — so he left me in the club alone.”
