Kylie Beats Britney To Most-Played Tune Crown In U.K.
Kylie Minogue's catchy dancefloor anthem Can'T Get You Out Of My Head has been named the new century's most-played tune in a new British radio poll.

The 2001 song, which was famously rejected by singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, before Minogue made it a monster hit beat out Britney Spears' Toxic and Robbie Williams' Angels as the most popular tune in the U.K. in the Performing Right Society For Music's new survey.

Prs officials discovered that the top five songs, which also include Jamelia's Superstar and Just a Little by Liberty X, were played on British radio stations over 875 million times between 2000 and 2010

50 Cent Blasts Record Label Interscope

The 'Candy Shop' hitmaker has hit out at his record company Interscope for being difficult to work with and has threatened to release his music for free himself and refuse to publicise any official releases.

He tweeted: "My next album is great its shame the hardest people to work with were supposed to be on the same team with me. 

"Music was so much fun for me now the people and politics involved disgust me. I'm putting out a song tonight.

"I'm not doing any press for this album. I worked really hard on it my music speaks for it self. I may put out another mix tape for fun."

The rapper's comments come after he begged for a new record deal on New Year's Eve (31.12.11) after admitting his frustration with Interscope record company executive Jimmy Iovine.

He tweeted: "I got 3,500,000 views in 3 day on hands up video]. Ok I need a record deal jimmy iovine , call me early tomorrow or I'm putting out another mix tape.

"Anybody want to sign me I'm a young hungry artist and I work harder then everybody in hiphop call me tomorrow. (sic)"

He later retweeted a follower's message of support, adding a comment of his own to it.

He wrote: "This is what EM told DRE RT @323Looney: Yo Dr.Dre I know this kid that spits fire and needs to be signed!! He goes by the name @50cent (sic)"

Usher Responds To Ex-Wife's Child Custody Claim
Usher has filed legal documents asking a judge to dismiss his ex-wife's demand for full custody of their kids.

The R&B star's former partner Tameka Raymond filed paperwork in Georgia last month (Dec11) demanding a change to their current arrangements, in which the former couple share joint physical custody of their two children.

Raymond accused the singer of failing in his parental duties by allegedly neglecting to ask her permission before travelling with the kids outside the state and before hiring nannies. She asked for full custody and an increase in her child support payments…. Temeka was also unhappy that Usher closed her Saks 5th Avenuecredit card -- which he specifically said he wouldn't do -- and now she can no longer take advantage of the "special benefits" the card offers.

Usher has now responded to the filing and has lodged his own legal papers asking a judge to deny Raymond's request, insisting her allegations are false, according to Tmz.com.

The website reports a trial date has been set for 27 February (12).

Katy Perry is being supported by Rihanna following the breakdown of her marriage.

The 'Firework' hitmaker - who spent the festive period in Hawaii with friends - has shared a number of heart-to-heart phone calls with her pal as she deals with her split from British comic Russell Brand after 14 months of marriage and the 'We Found Love' singer has been a "great support" in helping her cope.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Katy is hardly speaking to anyone right now, but she called Rihanna as soon as she heard Russell was filing for divorce.

"Katy was embarrassed about calling her parents as they'd been so against Russell in the first place, but Rihanna was a great support for her and she really helped to calm her down."

Rihanna is now said to be planning a holiday to Mexico with Katy to help her get over Russell.

An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ""Rihanna has been there for Katy, texting her from Miami where she's on holiday. Now they are planning a girlie getaway so Katy can clear her head."

While Russell - who is rumoured to be moving back to the UK following the split from Katy - is entitled to half of the singer's estimated $70 million fortune under Californian law, the pair have vowed to part as "friends" and want the split to remain amicable.

The former couple experienced problems very soon after getting married, as they rowed constantly and rarely saw one another due to their hectic schedules.

The main point of contention is said to have been former drug addict Russell's hatred of the party scene, which led to many arguments when he wanted to leave nights out early and his spouse didn't.

However, insiders sources there is no animosity between them, with one telling website TMZ: "It was just a bad pairing."

It’s always one of the hottest parties of the year, and TAO Nightclub was hoppin' on New Year’s Eve thanks to Kim Kardashian.

The “Disaster Movie” dame sported a bangy hairdo' while clad in a tight white dress as she showed up at the Sin City bash alongside mother Kris Jenner.

With Miss Kardashian reportedly being paid a cool $600,000 just for being there and playing hostess, guests plunked down $225 per ticket to party with the E! hottie and were served hors d’oeuvres prepared by a swanky Vegas chef while drinking from an open bar.

And despite the fact that her marriage was a disaster, Kim’s kicking off the New Year with plenty of money in the bank after her high-paying party gig.

Sources close to Katy Perry and Russell Brand tell TMZ ... the couple was infatuated with each other when they tied the knot, but the honeymoon ended very quickly.

According to our sources, Katy and Russell were initially head over heels for each other – each fascinated to be with someone who was an extreme opposite.

But we're told the two began a regime of constant bickering after they got married -- often in front of people at clubs and awards shows. They're both very stubborn and neither would easily back down. 

Our sources tell us ... because of the friction and their schedules ...they never spent long periods of time with each other.

One big bone of contention ... Russell was much more of a homebody than Katy. Katy loved going out and partying, while Russell (who is sober) didn't enjoy the scene at all. We're told he would often insist on leaving places early and asking her to come with ... which would trigger an argument.

Adele's album 21 has claimed number one in the end-of-year ARIA top 100 albums chart, after 23 weeks topping the roll-call of best sellers.

LMFAO's infectious Party Rock Anthem is the top-ranking single of 2011.

Gotye is the highest-ranking Aussie, with his single Somebody That I Used To Know, featuring Kimbra, at number two.

Gotye's album Making Mirrors has also made the album top-five list, coming it at number four.

Australian artists contributed a total of 22 albums to the top 100.

Angus Julia Stone made the chart for the second year in a row, hitting 32 with Down The Way.

Also among the top 20 is X-Factor winner Reece Mastin at 15 with his self-titled debut, and perennials Cold Chisel at 17 with The Best Of Cold Chisel All For You.

Justin Bieber and Glee Cast have three titles in the ARIA Top 100 Album Chart.
